Greenwood Nursery School in Wandle is located within the Wandle Recreation Centre, providing young children with a safe and enjoyable start to early years education. Children aged 18 months to five enjoy a spacious setting with direct access to an expansive garden, forest school facilities, and sports pitches. Our nursery operates nearly year-round, making it convenient for modern families. Our on-site chef prepares three nutritious, organic meals every day, using fresh, seasonal produce. Children thrive through a wide range of activities, including drama, tennis, sculpture, yoga and dedicated intergenerational sessions. Greenwood Nursery School nurtures curiosity, creativity and a sense of belonging for every child.

Holistic development for every child
Our approach supports all-around growth through thoughtful, hands-on experiences. As a forest school member, we run sessions in our own woodland area, giving children opportunities to explore, problem-solve, and gain independence in nature. Weekly intergenerational learning visits provide meaningful connections across generations, while daily use of the recreation centre’s facilities promotes movement and wellness. Activities are inspired by the Planet Earth curriculum, helping each child develop a thoughtful relationship with the environment.
